Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker intervened just in time to keep former U.S. President Barack Obama out of harm’s way when Nikola Jokic lost control and barreled toward the sideline during NBA All-Star Weekend on Feb. 16, 2026, according to the New York Post.

The brief scare occurred as the Denver Nuggets center lurched toward courtside seats. Booker, a three-time All-Star, reached out and redirected the 6-foot-11 Jokic, preventing what the Post described as a “gnarly” collision with the 44th president.

Obama was not injured, and play resumed moments later. Neither the league nor the players immediately commented on the incident.
