ATLANTA — Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker exited Friday night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks after injuring his right ankle with five seconds left in the third quarter.
The four-time All-Star landed on the foot of Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu while fighting for position and immediately fell to the floor. Booker remained down for several minutes before getting to his feet and limping to the locker room under his own power.
Before the injury, Booker had scored 31 points in 28 minutes. He entered the matchup averaging a team-high 25.3 points and 6.3 assists per game.
Atlanta went on to win the contest 110-103.
