MILWAUKEE — Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon left Friday night’s 102-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks after hurting his hamstring late in the second quarter.

Gordon, who tallied 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting along with six rebounds and three assists in the opening half, was ruled questionable to return when play resumed after halftime. He stayed on the bench for the remainder of the game.

Although short-handed — Denver was already without Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Christian Braun and Jonas Valanciunas — the Nuggets outscored Milwaukee 30-21 in the third period and carried a 15-point cushion into the fourth.

The 30-year-old forward had missed more than a month earlier this season because of a hamstring strain.
