SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry was cleared to play and started Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, head coach Steve Kerr announced.

The 37-year-old missed the previous five games because of a left quadriceps contusion and had sat out three contests in November due to illness.

Curry’s comeback also marked his first opportunity to share a regular-season court with younger brother Seth Curry. Seth signed with Golden State in October, was waived about two weeks later, and re-signed on Dec. 1. The siblings had last played together for just 100 seconds during a 2013 preseason game.

Kerr said Stephen Curry faced no minutes restriction for Friday’s matchup.
