The Cleveland Cavaliers said Wednesday that guard James Harden suffered a non-displaced fracture in his right thumb during Tuesday night’s game against the New York Knicks.

X-rays taken Wednesday confirmed the injury. Harden is considered questionable for Wednesday evening’s home matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks and will receive treatment and additional evaluation before a final determination is made, the club added.

The 17-year veteran was acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers on Feb. 3. In seven appearances with Cleveland, Harden is averaging 18.9 points, 8.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds. He logged 25.1 points, 8.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds over 44 games for the Clippers earlier this season.

Cleveland enters Wednesday at 37-22, having won eight of its past nine contests to share third place in the Eastern Conference.
