Center Nikola Vucevic is headed to the Boston Celtics, while guard Anfernee Simons will join the Chicago Bulls in a trade finalized on February 3, 2026, according to multiple league sources.
The transaction was completed just days before the NBA’s trade deadline, marking another significant roster shake-up for Chicago. By moving Vucevic, the Bulls part with a two-time All-Star who averaged a double-double during his tenure in the Windy City. In exchange, the club receives Simons, a high-scoring backcourt threat who averaged more than 20 points per game for Boston this season.
Boston adds frontcourt depth and interior scoring with the 6-foot-10 Vucevic, giving the Celtics a proven low-post option alongside their established core. Chicago, meanwhile, bolsters its perimeter attack with the 24-year-old Simons, whose outside shooting and playmaking fit the franchise’s effort to reshape its roster.
The deal is pending routine league approval and physical examinations for both players. No additional players or draft picks were disclosed as part of the agreement.
