The New York Knicks added more hardware to their inaugural NBA Cup run as guard Jalen Brunson and forward Karl-Anthony Towns were voted onto the competition’s All-Tournament Team on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025.
Media members selected five players for the honor. Brunson and Towns are joined by Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Brunson’s MVP performance
Brunson, who captured the NBA Cup’s Most Valuable Player award, averaged 33.2 points and 5.8 assists while shooting 53 percent from the field and 46 percent from three-point range. His tournament highlight was a 40-point, eight-assist effort in the semifinal victory over the Orlando Magic, a 132-120 decision that marked his season high in scoring.
Towns anchors the frontcourt
Towns posted 21.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game with shooting splits of 48 percent overall, 37 percent from deep and 90 percent at the free-throw line. He delivered his top performance against the Miami Heat, finishing with 39 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in a 140-132 win.
Knicks’ path to Las Vegas
New York compiled a 6-1 record in Cup play, defeating playoff contenders San Antonio, Orlando, Toronto and Miami. Earlier group-stage victories over Charlotte and Milwaukee allowed the Knicks to advance out of East Group C and secure a berth in the Las Vegas knockout rounds.
