Oct. 31, 2025 — Professional athletes across several leagues showed off an array of Halloween outfits, turning team facilities and social media timelines into costume runways.
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo drew widespread attention when he appeared for Thursday’s game against the Golden State Warriors dressed as a Minion from the “Despicable Me” film franchise. The look was shared on the Bucks’ official Instagram account.
Elsewhere, Chicago Blackhawks winger Nick Foligno traded skates for a headset, arriving as Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni. The veteran’s impersonation was highlighted on the team’s X (formerly Twitter) feed.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ rookie class also leaned into the holiday spirit. First-year players boarded the team flight clad either as Frozone from “The Incredibles” or the horror icon Michael Myers, a moment captured in photos posted by the club.
Additional costumes surfaced throughout the week:
- Detroit Lions players posed for Instagram shots in full holiday attire.
- Philadelphia Eagles teammates Jalen Hurts and Lane Johnson revealed their own outfits on social media.
- Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart joined the parade of costumes in a post shared by ESPN.
- Blackhawks rookies Connor Bedard and Frank Nazar appeared in a group photo alongside Foligno.
- Members of the Seattle Kraken took part in a Halloween event at Climate Pledge Arena that included an Adam Sandler look-alike.
With the holiday falling between game days and travel schedules, athletes across the NFL, NBA, NHL, and college football found creative ways to celebrate and engage fans online.
