PORTLAND, Ore. — Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups said forwards Toumani Camara (knee) and Deni Avdija (back) and guards Robert Williams (knee) and Matisse Thybulle (knee) practiced in full on Monday, but he remains unsure who will suit up for Wednesday’s season opener against Minnesota.

Williams appeared in only 20 games last season and did not play during the preseason. Thybulle, limited to 15 games a year ago by knee and ankle problems, also skipped all four preseason contests. Camara, who recently signed a four-year, $81 million extension, logged two preseason appearances, while Avdija exited the final exhibition with upper-back stiffness.

Knicks monitor Hart, Robinson

NEW YORK — The Knicks could be without two rotation staples when they host Cleveland on Wednesday. Guard Josh Hart missed Monday’s workout with back spasms, and center Mitchell Robinson sat out for load-management purposes, head coach Mike Brown told reporters. Brown said the team will manage Robinson’s minutes throughout the season.

Heat list two young players as questionable

MIAMI — Rookie guard Kasparas Jakucionis (right groin strain) and second-year center Kel’el Ware (neck spasms) were held out of Monday’s practice. Ware is undergoing further medical evaluation. Miami opens its season Wednesday in Orlando.

Pelicans ease Queen back from wrist surgery

NEW ORLEANS — Lottery pick Derik Queen took part in full contact Saturday for the first time since July wrist surgery. The rookie big man believes he could play Wednesday at Memphis, but head coach Willie Green stressed the club will monitor his response to contact before clearing him. Second-year center Karlo Matkovic did not practice Saturday due to an elbow issue under evaluation.
