The Boston Celtics have signed head coach Joe Mazzulla to a new contract extension, the New York Post reported Friday, Aug. 8, 2025.
The agreement comes less than three months after the team’s early playoff exit. Length and financial terms were not disclosed.
Mazzulla, 36, took over the Celtics bench in 2022 and led the club to consecutive postseason appearances before this year’s short-lived run. Despite the disappointing finish, Boston’s front office opted to keep the Rhode Island native in place, signaling continued confidence in his leadership.
