HOUSTON — Kevin Durant has reached a $90 million agreement with the Houston Rockets, a contract that will push the star forward to the top of the NBA’s all-time career earnings chart.

The deal was finalized on Oct. 19, 2025, according to the Rockets. With the new pact, the 37-year-old forward surpasses every player in league history in total on-court income, edging past the previous record holder.

Durant, a 15-time All-Star and two-time NBA champion, spent the last two seasons with the Phoenix Suns before entering free agency this summer. The Rockets, looking to accelerate their rebuild, moved quickly to secure the veteran scorer.

Exact contract terms beyond the overall value were not disclosed, but the agreement makes Durant the highest earner in NBA history when adding his new salary to the approximately $351 million he has collected since entering the league in 2007.
