The Los Angeles Lakers have waived guards Augustas Marciulionis and RJ Davis, along with forwards Jeenathan (Nate) Williams and Anton Watson, the team said on Monday.
All four players were in training camp on Exhibit 10 contracts and are expected to report to the South Bay Lakers of the NBA G League. Each is eligible for an $85,300 Exhibit 10 bonus if he remains with South Bay for at least 60 days.
Marciulionis, a two-time West Coast Conference Player of the Year at Saint Mary’s, averaged 14.2 points and 5.9 assists last season but went undrafted in June. The 6-foot-4 Lithuanian guard did not appear in any preseason games for Los Angeles.
Davis, the 2024 ACC Player of the Year out of North Carolina, averaged 10.0 points in just over 14 minutes per game during the preseason while shooting 66.7% from the field.
Williams opened last year with Houston on a two-way contract before earning a standard deal, and Watson, a 2024 second-round pick from Gonzaga, played nine games with New York as a rookie. Both logged limited minutes for the Lakers this preseason.
With the moves, the Lakers will enter opening night with 14 players on standard contracts and three on two-way deals. Because the club is near the first-apron hard cap, adding a 15th standard contract is not expected in the immediate future.
