The Toronto Raptors signed undrafted rookie forward Julian Reese to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract on October 17, then waived him later the same day, the club announced.

The maneuver positions the 6-foot-9 Maryland product to join Raptors 905, Toronto’s NBA G League affiliate. If Reese reports to the Mississauga-based squad and remains there for at least 60 days, he will be eligible for a bonus of up to $85,300 in addition to his standard G League salary.

Reese, 22, averaged 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 28.5 minutes over 36 games as a senior with the Terrapins during the 2024-25 season, finishing his collegiate career as Maryland’s No. 2 all-time rebounder behind Len Elmore. His sister, Angel Reese, plays for the WNBA’s Chicago Sky.

The power forward played four Summer League games with the Los Angeles Lakers in July, posting 3.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per contest across appearances at both the California Classic and Las Vegas events.

Toronto opened roster space for Reese after waiving five players on October 16, leaving the club with 17 contracts following Friday’s transactions.
