The Charlotte Hornets have released center Ibou Badji, according to a report from Hoops Rumors.
Badji, 7’1”, joined Charlotte earlier this offseason but did not appear in a regular-season game for the club. The move opens a roster spot as the Hornets continue to shape their lineup ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
Badji, a 22-year-old native of Senegal, previously spent time with the Portland Trail Blazers on a two-way contract and played in the NBA G League.
No corresponding transaction was announced at the time of the waiver.
