LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Clippers have waived TyTy Washington Jr., Zach Freemantle and Taylor Funk, according to the NBA.com transaction log.
Washington joined the club in early August on an Exhibit 10 contract that included the maximum $85,300 bonus. Selected 29th overall in the 2022 draft, the 23-year-old guard has appeared for the Rockets, Bucks and Suns, compiling career averages of 3.3 points and 1.2 assists in 10.5 minutes. At 6-foot-3, the former Kentucky standout has struggled with consistency from the field in limited NBA action but has produced efficiently in the G League.
Freemantle, signed to an Exhibit 10 deal on Sept. 10, became the 21st player on the Clippers’ offseason roster. The 6-foot-9 forward spent five seasons at Xavier, averaging 16.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in his age-24 campaign before going undrafted earlier this year.
Funk’s addition had not been previously disclosed. The 27-year-old forward appears to have joined the club on a sign-and-waive arrangement designed to route him to the team’s G League affiliate with a bonus attached. Funk played six collegiate seasons—five at Saint Joseph’s and one at Utah State—closing his college career with 13.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 37 percent three-point shooting and a 90 percent free-throw mark. He was signed and waived by the Celtics in 2023 and the Wizards in 2024.
All three players remain eligible to collect their Exhibit 10 bonuses if they spend at least 60 days with the San Diego Clippers, the organization’s G League affiliate.
