The Chicago Bulls have waived guard Wooga Poplar, the team’s transaction appeared Thursday, September 25, on the NBA’s official log. Poplar had been signed to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal.

Poplar, 22, went undrafted in June after completing a senior season at Villanova in which he averaged 15.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 36 games, shooting 46.0 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from three and 85.6 percent at the foul line. The 6-foot-5 guard previously spent three seasons at Miami (FL) before transferring for the 2024-25 campaign.

The rookie joined Chicago’s Summer League squad in Las Vegas, where he posted 6.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.0 assist over 15.9 minutes in four appearances.

The Exhibit 10 arrangement allows Poplar to earn an $85,300 bonus if he reports to the Windy City Bulls and remains with the G League affiliate for at least 60 days.

By cutting Poplar, Chicago opens one spot on its 21-man offseason roster with training camp set to begin next week. The Bulls are expected to fill the vacancy before camp opens.
