Phoenix, AZ — The Suns on Tuesday completed new contracts with center Mark Williams and guards Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin, moves general manager Brian Gregory called “a great day for our organization.” Gregory said the three were “instrumental” to Phoenix’s 45-win campaign in 2025/26.
The signings come as Phoenix prepares to send Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale to Charlotte in exchange for Miles Bridges. Aside from that deal, the club’s front office prioritized continuity, with Gregory citing internal growth as a “big key.” Goodwin added that the returning core already shares strong chemistry and expects that familiarity to pay off in 2026/27.
Kings and Bobby Jackson part ways
Assistant coach Bobby Jackson, who oversaw Sacramento’s defense last season under Doug Christie, will not return for 2026/27. KCRA’s Sean Cunningham reported that the two sides have mutually agreed to separate.
Lakers still evaluating roster spots
Los Angeles made a flurry of additions last week by reaching agreements with Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Sandro Mamukelashvili and Collin Sexton, but at least one slot on the projected 15-man roster remains open. A team source told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin that the Lakers view those back-end positions as critical heading into next season and may not be finished dealing.
Clippers weigh next move after Leonard trade
Kawhi Leonard’s departure to Toronto dominated headlines, yet the Clippers are focused on integrating two-time All-Star Brandon Ingram and former lottery pick Gradey Dick, both acquired in the same transaction. On Monday the club bolstered its frontcourt by signing Rui Hachimura to replace John Collins, but questions persist at center. Brook Lopez, Isaiah Jackson and Yanic Konan Niederhauser are currently slated to handle minutes at the five while the front office considers further upgrades.
All four Pacific Division teams figure to continue reshaping their rosters as training camp approaches.
