The Memphis Grizzlies have reached an agreement with forward Post after the Golden State Warriors opted not to match his offer sheet, according to league sources familiar with the negotiations.
The decision clears the way for Post to join Memphis under the terms presented in the original offer, which the Warriors had the right to match because of his restricted free-agent status. Golden State allowed the deadline to pass without taking action, sources said.
Contract details and the length of the deal were not disclosed. Post is expected to bolster the Grizzlies’ frontcourt rotation when training camp opens later this year.
The agreement will become official once the league’s standard signing procedures are completed.
