The Washington Wizards have filled their final two-way roster spot by signing rookie center Felix Okpara, the 46th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, according to the league’s official transaction log.
Washington acquired the No. 46 selection on draft night in a three-team swap with Orlando and Milwaukee, sending the Nos. 51 and 60 picks to secure Okpara. The 22-year-old spent two collegiate seasons at Ohio State (2022-24) and two at Tennessee (2024-26), building a reputation as a strong rim protector and reliable lob target.
In 2025/26, Okpara averaged 8.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks across 26.9 minutes in 35 games, earning a place on the SEC All-Defensive Team. At May’s draft combine, he measured 6’10” without shoes with a 7’2” wingspan and a 9’4” standing reach.
Okpara is expected to begin the season behind Anthony Davis, Alex Sarr and Deandre Ayton in the Wizards’ frontcourt rotation. His two-way contract allows up to 50 NBA regular-season appearances and is worth $678,882, half of the rookie minimum.
The signing places Okpara alongside Julian Reese and Jamir Watkins as Washington’s current two-way players.
