Patrick Ewing to Join Brian Keefe’s Wizards Staff as Assistant Coach

Sources said Monday that former Georgetown head coach Patrick Ewing will join Brian Keefe’s coaching staff with the Washington Wizards as an assistant.
Details of Ewing’s role and his start date were not disclosed. The Wizards hired Keefe, their former interim coach, as full-time head coach earlier this offseason.
Ewing previously spent time as an NBA assistant with the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, and Charlotte Hornets before taking over Georgetown’s men’s program in 2017.
The Wizards finished last season 15-67, and Keefe has been tasked with leading the club through a rebuilding phase.
