The Los Angeles Lakers have added guard Peter Suder to a two-way contract, completing the club’s allotment of three two-way deals for the 2026-27 season. The agreement was announced one day after Suder took the floor in the team’s California Classic opener.

Suder logged 24 minutes off the bench in the July 3 matchup against the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center, finishing 1-for-6 from the field with three rebounds and one assist in a lopsided defeat. Los Angeles has two more games in San Francisco before moving on to the Las Vegas Summer League next weekend.

The 22-year-old earned Mid-American Conference Player of the Year honors as a senior at Miami (Ohio), where he averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 54.6 percent overall and 42.1 percent from three-point range. A 6-foot-4 versatile guard and active defender, Suder is wearing No. 35 during summer play.

Complete two-way group

With Suder under contract, the Lakers’ two-way contingent now consists of Suder, guard Chris Mañon and forward AK Okereke.

Mañon, 24, accepted a two-way qualifying offer late last month and re-signed on Friday. He posted 10.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.9 steals for the South Bay Lakers last season, led the G League Tip-Off Tournament with 2.6 steals per game, and was voted to the G League All-Defense team while finishing second in Defensive Player of the Year balloting.

Okereke, whose two-way deal has been reported but not formally announced, is a 6-foot-7 forward from Clovis, California. After three seasons at Cornell he transferred to Vanderbilt, where he averaged 9.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 36 games (35 starts) last season. He is also competing with the summer squad.

Los Angeles continues California Classic play this week before traveling to Las Vegas, where additional evaluation opportunities await the club’s newly finalized two-way trio.
