The Los Angeles Lakers have brought back restricted free-agent guard Chris Manon on a new two-way contract, the club confirmed Monday through a press release.

Los Angeles issued Manon a qualifying offer last week, giving the team matching rights. The 24-year-old is believed to have accepted that two-way offer to stay with the organization.

Limited NBA action, strong G League showing

Undrafted out of Vanderbilt in 2025, the 6-foot-4 wing spent his entire rookie year on a two-way deal with the Lakers. He logged only 46 minutes across nine NBA appearances but stood out with the South Bay Lakers in the G League.

In 46 Tip-Off Tournament and regular-season contests for South Bay, Manon averaged 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.9 blocks while shooting 51.1 percent from the field, 31.5 percent from beyond the arc and 73.7 percent at the line. His defensive impact made him the runner-up for the NBAGL Defensive Player of the Year award and earned him a spot on the league’s lone All-Defensive Team.

Two-way slots nearly full

Manon occupies the first of the Lakers’ three two-way openings. The team has also reached reported two-way agreements with undrafted rookies Peter Suder and AK Okereke. Once those contracts are finalized, all three two-way positions will be set for the 2026-27 campaign.
