The Sacramento Kings have brought back guard Terence Davis on a non-guaranteed deal for training camp, according to Keith Smith of Spotrac.

Davis, 28, had been waived by Sacramento earlier in September after entering the offseason on a non-guaranteed contract. The Mississippi product has appeared in 122 games for the Kings since arriving from the Toronto Raptors at the 2021 trade deadline.

Terms were not disclosed, but the agreement is expected to include Exhibit 9 and/or Exhibit 10 language. An Exhibit 9 clause protects the club financially if the player is injured during camp or preseason, while an Exhibit 10 allows the team to award a bonus should Davis be released and later spend at least 60 days with the Stockton Kings of the NBA G League.

Davis last held a regular Kings roster spot in 2022-23, when he played in 64 games and averaged 6.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 13.1 minutes while shooting 42.3 percent overall, 36.6 percent from three-point range and 79.1 percent at the foul line.

The 6-foot-4 guard opened the 2023-24 season with the Rip City Remix but suffered a torn Achilles in December, ending his year. He spent most of 2024-25 with the Wisconsin Herd, posting 14.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game and hitting 41.5 percent of his three-pointers before receiving a call-up to Sacramento on the final day of the season.

Sacramento currently carries 14 players on standard NBA contracts, leaving one open spot heading into camp. Including two-way deals, the team has 18 players under contract.
