The Golden State Warriors are prepared to finalize several veteran signings but will wait until forward Jonathan Kuminga decides on his contract status, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

Per the report, Golden State intends to add Al Horford, DeAnthony Melton, Gary Payton II and Seth Curry once Kuminga’s situation is resolved. The club currently has six open roster spots, which could be filled by that quartet, second-round pick Will Richard and Kuminga.

Horford spent last season with the Boston Celtics. Melton and Payton II have both logged previous stints with the Warriors, while Curry appeared for the Charlotte Hornets in 2023-24 and would rejoin his brother, Stephen Curry, in the Bay Area.

Golden State reportedly offered Kuminga a three-year, $75.2 million contract that included a team option for the third season. His representatives countered with a three-year, $82 million proposal featuring a player option in Year 3, which the Warriors declined. Kuminga still holds a $7.9 million qualifying offer.

If the 21-year-old forward accepts the qualifying offer, he would receive a no-trade clause for the 2025-26 campaign and enter unrestricted free agency next summer. Kuminga averaged 15.3 points and 4.6 rebounds across 47 games last season.
