Brooklyn, NY — The Brooklyn Nets have officially signed Chinese forward Fanbo Zeng to an Exhibit 10 contract, the team confirmed on September 22. Zeng appears on the 21-player training camp roster released Tuesday.

The agreement was first reported on August 2. Zeng, 22, is a 6-foot-10 forward coming off a productive 2024-25 campaign with the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association, where he averaged 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks while shooting 53 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range.

Originally committed to Gonzaga in 2020, the Harbin native later joined the NBA G League Ignite and appeared in 19 games during the 2021-22 season. He signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Indiana Pacers the following summer and logged five Summer League contests before returning to China.

Zeng sustained a lumbar transverse process fracture in late April during a CBA game, prompting him to withdraw from the upcoming FIBA Asia Games. The injury typically requires a two- to three-month recovery period, putting him on track for the start of Nets training camp.

In pursuit of an NBA return, Zeng hired American representation three months ago. He is expected to draw attention when Brooklyn faces Phoenix in a pair of exhibition games in Macao this October.

The Nets currently hold 10 guaranteed contracts, three anticipated signings and four non-guaranteed or partially guaranteed deals. With one two-way slot still open, Zeng will have an opportunity to compete for a roster spot during camp.
