Ariel Hukporti departs Knicks, heads to 76ers in free-agency move

NEW YORK — Center Ariel Hukporti is leaving the New York Knicks to join the Philadelphia 76ers, marking one of the first moves of the 2026 NBA free-agency period.
The agreement was reached on July 1, the opening day of free agency. Contract terms were not disclosed. Hukporti spent last season with the Knicks after entering the league in 2025.
The 7-footer now joins a Philadelphia roster looking to reinforce its frontcourt depth heading into the 2026-27 campaign.
