The Los Angeles Lakers have added two undrafted guards to their offseason roster, reaching an Exhibit 10 agreement with Florida State’s Robert McCray V on June 25 and finalizing a Summer League contract with Virginia’s Jacari White on June 26, according to DraftExpress and 247Sports.
McCray, a 6-foot-4 guard who earned All-ACC recognition last season, averaged 16.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.1 assists while shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from three. Known for his explosive 43-inch maximum vertical leap, he also averaged 3.6 turnovers, an area the Lakers will monitor as he transitions to the professional level.
White, also 6-4, brings perimeter shooting to the roster after hitting 43.4 percent of his three-point attempts on 5.1 shots per game for the Cavaliers. While not considered an elite leaper, he has shown the ability to finish above the rim and through contact.
Both guards will join first-round pick Cameron Carr and second-year forward Adou Thiero on Los Angeles’s Summer League squad, giving the team additional athletic options as it continues to emphasize two-way versatility.
An Exhibit 10 deal allows McCray to compete for a standard roster spot in training camp and can be converted to a two-way contract. White’s agreement secures him a place on the Summer League roster, with the potential for further opportunities if he impresses.
The additions come after the Lakers selected Carr at No. 24 in the 2026 NBA Draft and traded out of the second round when no centers remained at pick No. 56.
