The Boston Celtics have reached an agreement with former Houston guard Milos Uzan on an Exhibit 10 contract, the Houston Cougars men’s basketball program announced on social media.
Uzan, 23, went undrafted this week after completing four collegiate seasons—two at Oklahoma and the last two at Houston. The 6’4” combo guard started all 77 games for the Cougars, averaging 11.3 points, 4.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 32.2 minutes per contest while shooting 41.6 percent from the field, 37.7 percent from three-point range and 76.3 percent at the free-throw line.
Prior to the draft, ESPN ranked Uzan No. 57 on its big board, and The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie placed him 66th overall, highlighting his playmaking skills but noting the need for more consistent scoring.
An Exhibit 10 deal is a non-guaranteed, minimum-salary contract that can be converted to a two-way agreement before the regular season. Should the Celtics waive Uzan and he spends at least 60 days with the team’s G League affiliate, he would be eligible for a bonus of up to $91,000.
