The Brooklyn Nets released guard Yuri Collins on September 21, trimming their standard roster to 20 players as training camp approaches.
Collins, 25, had signed a one-year contract with Brooklyn on Friday that carried a partial guarantee of $85,300. The arrangement functioned much like an Exhibit 10 deal, positioning the 6’0″ floor general to join the organization’s G League affiliate in Long Island for the 2025-26 season. Unlike a traditional Exhibit 10, however, the guaranteed amount will remain on the Nets’ cap sheet, helping the club move toward the league’s minimum salary floor by opening night.
The Saint Louis University product spent the past two campaigns with the Santa Cruz Warriors after going undrafted in 2023. In 49 games last season, he averaged 13.7 points, 10.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals while shooting .412 from the field, .264 from three-point range and .780 at the foul line over 32.3 minutes per contest.
Collins made his NBA debut on a 10-day contract with Golden State in February, appearing in two games and logging two points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals across 16 total minutes.
With Collins waived, Brooklyn sits one player below the offseason roster limit of 21.
