Milwaukee’s search for the best return package in any potential Giannis Antetokounmpo trade has hit a key point, and Boston’s proposal would reportedly send Jaylen Brown to the Bucks — a scenario the All-Star wing is said to welcome, according to Yahoo Sports’ Kelly Iko.
Iko reports a “growing belief” that Brown is open to joining Milwaukee and would prefer the situation to be settled soon. Earlier indications suggested the 27-year-old was hesitant about a move, but that stance appears to have shifted.
ESPN’s Shams Charania noted Monday that the Celtics and Miami Heat remain the two finalists if the Bucks decide to move Antetokounmpo. Should Milwaukee choose Boston’s offer, Brown is expected to headline the return. The Bucks are also believed to have interest in 20-year-old wing Hugo Gonzalez, selected by the Celtics late in last year’s first round.
Knicks Push Back Alvarado Deadline
New York and guard Jose Alvarado have agreed to move his player-option deadline from June 22 to June 26, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line. While a four-day extension appears minor, the Knicks are actively exploring trades involving their No. 24 and No. 31 picks, and the timing shift could allow extra flexibility.
Alvarado, acquired at February’s trade deadline, provided reliable back-court depth during the Knicks’ playoff run. If he declines the option, he will enter unrestricted free agency.
Interest Builds in Biberovic Rights
Fischer also reports that multiple teams have inquired about obtaining the draft rights to Tarik Biberovic, currently held by the Memphis Grizzlies. The 25-year-old forward helped Fenerbahce win the EuroLeague championship and is regarded as a high-level shooter. Biberovic drew NBA attention last summer before opting to stay with the Turkish club, and renewed interest could prompt Memphis to consider a deal.
No agreements have been reached, and it remains unclear whether discussions will lead to Biberovic’s NBA arrival or simply a shift in his rights.
