Rival Teams Showing Interest in Nuggets Forward Aaron Gordon

Several NBA organizations have expressed interest in trading for Aaron Gordon as the Denver Nuggets navigate offseason roster decisions, veteran reporter Marc Stein reported this week.

According to Stein, clubs across the league view Gordon as Denver’s most attractive potential trade piece while they explore ways to strengthen their lineups ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Gordon, 28, has become a key two-way contributor in Denver. He guards multiple positions, scores efficiently near the rim, spaces the floor just enough to keep defenders honest and maintains strong on-court chemistry with two-time MVP Nikola Jokić.

The Nuggets face another tight salary-cap summer and prefer to keep both Gordon and guard Jamal Murray, Stein noted. Around the league, some executives consider third-year wing Christian Braun a more realistic trade candidate if Denver looks to trim payroll or acquire new pieces.

While Gordon is not considered untouchable, Denver’s front office would have to weigh the cost of moving one of Jokić’s most trusted teammates against the goal of remaining in title contention.
