Bucks to Add Vince Legarza and Brad Jones to Coaching Staff
Milwaukee — The Bucks are finalizing agreements with Vince Legarza and Brad Jones to serve as assistant coaches, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported.
Legarza, 36, began his NBA career as a player development coach in Atlanta, where he worked alongside current Milwaukee head coach Taylor Jenkins. He later joined the Utah Jazz as an advanced scout and assistant coach, remaining there for four seasons. Legarza spent the 2022/23 campaign on the Bucks’ bench before moving to the Phoenix Suns for the 2024–26 seasons.
Jones also brings Jazz experience, having served in Utah from 2013–16, though his tenure did not overlap with Legarza’s. He coached the Memphis Hustle in 2018/19, then joined the Memphis Grizzlies as an assistant from 2019–23, working under Jenkins during that stretch.
Legarza and Jones will join a Milwaukee staff that already includes recently hired assistants Patrick St. Andrews and Joe Boylan, both of whom have prior ties to Jenkins.
