Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is scheduled for surgery on his left foot and will be unavailable when the 2025-26 NBA season begins, multiple sources told Shams Charania of ESPN on Friday.
Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald reported that the operation is intended to repair a persistent issue that hampered the 25-year-old throughout the summer. While the team has not provided a precise timetable, several sources informed Chiang that the procedure is not expected to sideline Herro for the entire campaign.
The Heat have not yet announced who will step into Herro’s backcourt role while he recovers.
