Speaking to reporters immediately after the decisive game, the league MVP acknowledged the individual honor but stressed that falling short of a title overshadowed everything accomplished during the regular season.
The guard added that personal awards “don’t matter” without winning the final game of the year, reiterating that the ultimate goal remains a championship.
