The Philadelphia 76ers have hired Mike Gansey as the organization’s new president, the team announced on May 29. The move comes only a few weeks after the club fired former president Daryl Morey.
Gansey now takes charge of Philadelphia’s basketball operations, stepping in to lead the front office ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season. Details of his contract and immediate plans for the roster were not released.
Morey, known for orchestrating major trades and signings during his tenure, was dismissed earlier this month, prompting a swift search that culminated in Gansey’s appointment.
