Oklahoma City Thunder wing Jalen Williams is being listed as day-to-day with a left hamstring injury and will be assessed on a game-by-game basis, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on X.
The hamstring problem is Williams’ second in the past month. The previous strain sidelined him for roughly three weeks and forced him to miss the entire second-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Williams returned for the Thunder’s double-overtime Game 1 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, logging more than 37 minutes, scoring 26 points and frequently guarding Victor Wembanyama. He departed Game 2 after only seven minutes for treatment and was ruled out by the third quarter. An MRI was scheduled to determine the extent of the issue. Spurs guard Dylan Harper, who also exited early, will undergo an MRI as well.
Game 3 of the series is set for Friday. If Williams remains unavailable, he would have four additional days to recover before Game 4 on Sunday.
