Free-agent center Bismack Biyombo has reached a one-year agreement to return to the San Antonio Spurs, according to sources familiar with the deal.

The contract, finalized Monday, keeps the 15-year veteran in San Antonio after he averaged 5.1 points and 5.6 rebounds across 28 appearances last season. Biyombo, 33, joined the Spurs in February and is expected to back up Victor Wembanyama and Luke Kornet in the frontcourt.

Selected seventh overall in the 2011 NBA draft, the 6-foot-8 center has suited up for seven franchises. Over 867 career games, including 377 starts, he owns averages of 5.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 19.5 minutes.

The upcoming campaign will mark Biyombo’s 15th season in the league.
