Dillon Brooks, the NBA agitator often labeled a villain, took his trash-talking to the stands on May 12, sitting courtside and taunting Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James throughout the game, the New York Post reported.
Brooks’ remarks were audible from the front row and were aimed directly at James whenever the four-time champion passed near his seat, according to the report. Arena staff observed the exchange but did not remove the outspoken forward, who remained in his seat for the duration of the contest.
The encounter marks the latest chapter in the ongoing friction between Brooks and James, which has previously surfaced during regular-season matchups and postseason series.
