Pistons Own Narrow 20-19 Lead Early in Game 3 Against Cavaliers

The Detroit Pistons opened Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 20-19 advantage over the Cleveland Cavaliers with 5:26 remaining in the first quarter on Saturday night in Cleveland.
Detroit, ahead 2-0 in the best-of-seven series, hit 7 of its first 12 shots (58 percent). Forward Tobias Harris scored six points on 2-for-4 shooting and converted both free throws. Center Jalen Duren and forward Duncan Robinson added four points apiece.
Cleveland started 7-for-8 from the field (88 percent) and 3-for-4 from three-point range. Center Jarrett Allen led the Cavaliers with five points, while guards James Harden and Dennis Schröder chipped in three points each. Harden also delivered three assists.
The Pistons held a 4-1 edge in turnovers and a 4-3 margin on the offensive glass. Both clubs were perfect from the free-throw line—Detroit 2-for-2, Cleveland 4-for-6.
The contest at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is being televised by NBC and streamed on Peacock. The officiating crew includes Tre Maddox, Scott Foster, Courtney Kirkland and Pat Fraher.
