New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, denounced critics who faulted him for offering condolences to conservative commentator Charlie Kirk’s family.
Robinson said he stood by his original statement of sympathy, insisting that expressing support to a grieving family should not trigger condemnation. He described the negative reactions as unwarranted and maintained that simple compassion was his only intent.
The Knicks have not issued a public response regarding Robinson’s comments.
