The Los Angeles Lakers’ offense never found a rhythm Tuesday night, and the Oklahoma City Thunder capitalized, cruising to a 108-90 victory in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff matchup at Paycom Center.
Oklahoma City used balanced scoring and strong perimeter defense to seize control early, building a double-digit lead in the first half that the Lakers could not erase. Los Angeles struggled from the field throughout the night and trailed by as many as 22 in the fourth quarter.
The loss drops the Lakers into a 0-1 hole in the best-of-seven series heading into Game 2, scheduled for Thursday in Oklahoma City.
