Kings select GM Scott Perry as on-stage representative for NBA Draft Lottery

Sacramento Kings general manager Scott Perry has been chosen to represent the franchise on stage at this year’s NBA Draft Lottery, according to a report on Monday.
Perry, who took over the front office in November, will be the public face of the organization when the league determines the final order for the first round of the 2024 draft. The Kings own their first-round pick and will learn their exact position once the lottery results are revealed.
The report did not specify who will handle the team’s duties in the lottery room, where ping-pong balls decide the drawing before the televised announcement. Sacramento finished the regular season 46-36 and was eliminated in the Play-In Tournament, giving the club a slim chance of moving up in the draft order.
Perry previously served as general manager of the New York Knicks and has held front-office roles with the Pistons, Magic and SuperSonics/Thunder.
