The Toronto Raptors may head into a decisive Game 7 without forward Brandon Ingram. Sunday’s NBA injury report downgraded Ingram from questionable to doubtful for tonight’s matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
Ingram aggravated an existing right heel injury during the second quarter of Game 5 and did not return. The same issue cost him time late in the regular season, and signs of progress have been minimal. According to Sportsnet’s Michael Grange, the 26-year-old was still wearing a walking boot during the team’s morning shootaround, a development that coincided with the status change.
The former All-Star missed Game 6, but Toronto forced a winner-take-all contest with an overtime victory at Scotiabank Arena. The Raptors have never won a playoff game in Cleveland and must attempt to break that streak likely without one of their primary scoring options.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:42 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
