The Toronto Raptors have downgraded forward Brandon Ingram from questionable to doubtful for Friday’s must-win Game 6 against the Cleveland Cavaliers because of persistent right heel inflammation. The change came after the veteran missed the media-visible portion of the morning shoot-around and continued to feel pain, according to team officials.

Ingram aggravated the same heel issue during the second quarter of Game 5, an injury that had already cost him three late-season contests. Although he led Toronto in regular-season scoring, he has hit just 19 of 58 shots (32.8%) in the series, including 14 of 45 two-point attempts (31.1%). Without him in the second half of Wednesday’s loss, the Raptors shot 30.0% (15-for-50) from the field.

Toronto did receive positive news on Scottie Barnes; the forward is no longer on the injury report after being limited by a quad blow in Game 5 and is expected to play.

Additional Playoff Injury Notes

Boston Celtics: Forward Jayson Tatum sat out the final 16 minutes of Thursday’s Game 6 defeat to Philadelphia with a left leg issue. Tatum, who returned in March from a torn right Achilles, said after the game that the problem is minor and on the opposite leg, adding he plans to suit up for Sunday’s Game 7.

Detroit Pistons: Forward Tobias Harris (left ankle sprain) and guard Kevin Huerter (left adductor strain) are both questionable for Friday’s Game 6 in Orlando. Harris has scored at least 16 points in every game of the series, while Huerter has logged just six points in 42 total minutes.
