Combine requirements under the new CBA

Under the latest collective bargaining agreement, any invited player who skips the combine without an approved excuse becomes ineligible for the 2026 draft. Excused absences include ongoing FIBA seasons, injuries or significant family matters; those players must complete combine activities later to regain draft eligibility.

All attendees must submit to physical examinations, provide medical history, participate in measurements, athletic testing and shooting drills, and sit for interviews with teams and media. Scrimmages are optional.

Medical data will be distributed on a tiered basis tied to draft projections: only the top-10 teams receive information on the projected No. 1 pick; clubs drafting in the top 15 receive data for prospects projected 2-6, and teams in the top 25 receive information for players projected 7-10.

The 2026 NBA Draft is scheduled for June 24.
