New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson and Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels were thrown out of Thursday’s Game 6 after a scuffle with 4:39 remaining in the second quarter.

The confrontation began during a free-throw attempt by Knicks forward OG Anunoby. Robinson and Daniels became tangled, exchanged shoves and drifted toward the sideline, where several Knicks staff members—including head coach Mike Brown—stepped in to restrain Robinson. Officials reviewed the incident and assessed double technical fouls, resulting in automatic ejections for both players.

New York held a commanding 50-point advantage at the time of the ejections. The Knicks’ 47-point margin at halftime set a new NBA postseason record, according to ESPN.

Tension between Robinson and Daniels had simmered throughout the first-round series. In Game 2, Robinson was hit with an unsportsmanlike technical foul after committing an offensive foul on Daniels and then stepping over the fallen Australian guard.

While a suspension for Robinson appears unlikely, his availability will be monitored ahead of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Knicks will meet the winner of the Boston Celtics–Philadelphia 76ers series.
