Los Angeles secured the road victory at Toyota Center despite a late push from Houston, which played without star forward Kevin Durant. The Rockets erased most of a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter, but the Lakers converted key free throws in the final minute to preserve the win.
The outcome puts the Lakers one win away from advancing, while the Rockets face elimination heading into Game 4.
