The Chicago Bulls have filled the last spot on their training-camp roster, inking forward Mouhamadou Gueye to an Exhibit 10 agreement, the team’s 21st contract for camp.
Gueye, 25, saw action in 11 games for the Toronto Raptors last season after signing separate 10-day and two-way deals. The 6-foot-9 Pittsburgh alumnus averaged 2.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in just under 11 minutes a night. He also logged time with the G League’s Capital City Go-Go, posting 10.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest.
An Exhibit 10 contract makes Gueye eligible for a bonus of up to $85,300 if he is waived and then spends at least 60 days with the Windy City Bulls.
Antetokounmpo leads Greece past Lithuania
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 29 points to push Greece over Lithuania, 87-76, in the EuroBasket quarterfinals, sending the national team to its first semifinal appearance in 16 years. The Milwaukee Bucks star shot 9-for-15 from the floor and 11-for-16 at the stripe while adding six rebounds, four steals, two assists and one block.
Vasileios Toliopoulos supplied 17 points and veteran guard Kostas Sloukas added 11 for Greece, which will meet Turkey with a berth in the championship game at stake. Greece last captured EuroBasket gold in 2005.
On the opposite side, Denver Nuggets center Jonas Valanciunas recorded 24 points and 15 boards for Lithuania. “Tonight was a battle; they were better than us,” Valanciunas told reporters afterward.
Suns repeat Exhibit 10 maneuver with Shackelford
The Phoenix Suns signed guard Jaden Shackelford to an Exhibit 10 contract and immediately waived him, mirroring a move they made at the start of last season. The 6-foot-3 Alabama product averaged 18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 50 games with the G League’s Valley Suns in 2023-24. Should he rejoin the Valley Suns and remain for 60 days, he would be eligible for a bonus of up to $85,300.
