The Cleveland Cavaliers overpowered the Toronto Raptors 126–113 on Saturday in Game 1 of their first-round playoff matchup, seizing a 1–0 lead at home. Game 2 is set for Monday night at Rocket Arena.

Cleveland controlled the second half, turning a 61–54 halftime margin into a 97–76 advantage by the end of the third quarter. The Cavaliers’ defense did not allow a single dunk during the first three periods and limited Toronto to 27 three-point attempts, of which the Raptors converted 13.

Key Performances

Donovan Mitchell led all scorers with 32 points on 11-for-20 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Max Strus added 24 points on 8-for-10 from the field, while James Harden contributed 22 points and 10 assists. Evan Mobley finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, and Jarrett Allen provided 10 points while anchoring the interior defense.

For Toronto, RJ Barrett scored 24 points and Scottie Barnes had 21. Despite hitting several difficult perimeter shots, the Raptors struggled to generate offense in the paint and were held off the offensive glass throughout the night.

Cleveland’s emphatic third-quarter surge—dubbed a “Cavalanche” by fans—proved decisive, allowing the hosts to cruise through the final period and secure the victory.
