The Los Angeles Lakers will open their first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets with a nearly full roster. The club’s official injury report confirms that only Luka Doncic (left hamstring strain) and Austin Reaves (left oblique strain) are unavailable for Game 1, scheduled for Sunday at Crypto.com Arena.

All other players are cleared for action, including veteran guard Marcus Smart, who returned from a right ankle contusion for the final two games of the regular season. Backup center Jaxson Hayes is also back after missing four contests with a left foot injury.

Doncic and Reaves are the Lakers’ top two scorers and combine for the league’s highest-scoring duo. Their absence forces head coach JJ Redick to modify both rotations and offensive schemes as Los Angeles tries to capitalize on home-court advantage despite being considered underdogs.

Houston’s injury report lists Kevin Durant as questionable because of a right knee contusion. The Rockets have relied on physical play in the paint and a defense-first identity throughout the season, areas where Hayes’ rim protection and Smart’s on-ball pressure could prove vital for the Lakers.

Role players such as Smart, Luke Kennard, Deandre Ayton and Rui Hachimura are expected to shoulder a larger offensive load while LeBron James orchestrates the attack. The team has not provided a timeline for Doncic or Reaves, leaving open the possibility of a return later in the series.
